SDRAM SUPPORT:
|
The SIMCHECK II PLUS supports 168-pin SDRAM
modules, while the older SIMCHECK PLUS supports only EDO/FPM technology.
|
SPEED OF TESTS:
|
SIMCHECK II PLUS is significantly faster than
SIMCHECK PLUS. A typical 4Mx64 module which tests for 27 seconds on SIMCHECK
PLUS takes a mere 4.5 seconds on SIMCHECK II! |
COMPACTNESS: |
The SIMCHECK II base tester is a single
platform capable of testing both the 72-pin and 30-pin SIMM modules. Also, many
optional features and adapters of the SIMCHECK PLUS are already built-in the
SIMCHECK II (Serial interface, true 3.3V testing, and more). |
1nS RESOLUTION:
|
SIMCHECK II features state-of-the-art 1nS
resolution and a 133MHz test engine, as opposed to the 5nS resolution of the
SIMCHECK PLUS. |
LARGER MEMORY SUPPORT:
|
SIMCHECK II has a testing range of up to four
Giga addresses per bank, compared to 16 Mega addresses per bank for SIMCHECK
PLUS. Therefore, the old SIMCHECK PLUS cannot test modules larger than 128
Megabytes, while SIMCHECK II's theoretical limit is 32 GigaBytes. |
BETTER USER INTERFACE:
|
SIMCHECK II features a graphic display capable
of showing 4 lines of 21 characters, compared with the 16x2 display of SIMCHECK
PLUS. As a result, SIMCHECK II can show more detailed test information, provide
advanced graphic setup of test parameters, and keep a detailed test log.
Graphic icons provide quick notification for errors and test stages.
|
IMPROVED MEMORY TESTING
ARCHITECTURE: |
With its 486 processor and improved
architecture, the SIMCHECK II PLUS provides more test features which cannot be
implemented on the SIMCHECK PLUS. This includes cycle time measurement,
variable dynamic refresh, explicit setup for Trcd and Trah, and much more.
|
PC COMMUNICATION PACKAGE:
|
SIMCHECK II PLUS comes with a built-in serial
interface and with a PC Communication program that allows it to log and print
test reports. The older SIMCHECK PLUS required an optional external module for
PC communication. |
UPGRADE THROUGH THE INTERNET:
|
SIMCHECK II's flash BIOS can be upgraded
through our web-site, while SIMCHECK PLUS requires an EPROM replacement to
upgrade. |
