Tests memory modules for Sun Sparc Station and
other Sun Microsystem computers
Houston, Texas - March 25, 2004 -
INNOVENTIONS, Inc., the leading manufacturer of affordable benchtop computer
memory testers, is now shipping an adapter that allows for fast, reliable
testing of 200-pin FPM/EDO DIMM memory used in Sun Sparc Stations and other Sun
Microsystems computers. The adapter works with the companys RAMCHECK and
RAMCHECK Plus memory testers.
There is a great deal of interest in a
low-cost memory tester for Sun products, said David Y. Feinstein,
President of INNOVENTIONS. Prices for Sun memory remain higher than
standard PC memory, and this adapter gives technicians a way to test and
identify those modules in just a few seconds, rather than spending hours
running tests on a motherboard.
During each test, the memory modules size,
structure and type are automatically detected. All memory cells are fully
tested with a parallel write/read operation. The tester quickly spots bad
memory chips and alerts the user with a warning tone and visual signal. A PC
communications software package is included to allow the user to log and print
test results.
The RAMCHECK 200-pin Sun DIMM Adapter (p/n
INN-8668-7) sells for $895 and is available now. The RAMCHECK base tester is
required. Special discount pricing is available for those who dont own
the RAMCHECK.
