INNOVENTIONS Launches DDR Memory Tester

Company Ships DDR 184-pin Adapter for its RAMCHECK Memory Tester to Ease Transition from Slower SDRAM to DDR

Houston, Texas - May 14, 2002 - INNOVENTIONS, Inc., a leading manufacturer of standalone, portable computer memory testers, has reached full production of the RAMCHECK DDR 184-Pin Adapter for testing Double Data Rate (DDR) SDRAM memory.

"Since memory manufacturers, computer resellers and service centers are handling more DDR memory every day, our new DDR test adapter is expected to ease the transition from older, slower SDRAM to DDR", said David Y. The Adapter plugs directly into the company's RAMCHECK base tester and requires no special setup. Combined with RAMCHECK, the DDR 184-Pin Adapter tests PC2700/2100/1600 (also known as PC-333, PC-266, and PC-200) modules, including Registered and Unbuffered DIMMs. The unit can be used with minimal training due to its intuitive user's interface and easy-to-use Zero Insertion Force test socket.

During the test, the module's size, structure and type are automatically detected. The tester quickly spots bad memory chips and alerts the user with a warning tone and visual signal. The stand-alone RAMCHECK base tester can be upgraded via the Internet, and comes with a free PC communications software package to log and print test results.
