New adapter tests 200-pin DDR2 SO-DIMM memory
module
Houston, Texas March 11, 2008
INNOVENTIONS, Inc., the leading manufacturer of portable computer memory
testers, is now shipping a rugged adapter for testing 200-pin DDR2 SO-DIMM
memory modules that are typically found in laptop computers. This new adapter
works with the RAMCHECK memory tester.
DDR2 SO-DIMM modules are now the predominant
memory used in laptops, said David Y. Feinstein, President of
INNOVENTIONS. Manufacturers need a way to quickly test SO-DIMMs on site,
without the need for high-end testing equipment that may be located in another
facility. RAMCHECK and the DDR2 SO-DIMM adapter make this possible. The new
adapter is also great for distributors and retailers who need a low-cost way to
verify memory quality in seconds, rather than hours.
The 200-pin DDR2 Adapter tests PC2-5300/5400,
PC2-4200 and PC2-3200 DDR2 modules. The adapter utilizes a special rugged test
socket manufactured specifically for high-volume testing. It works only with
INNOVENTIONS RAMCHECK tester.
During each test, the memory modules size,
structure and type are automatically detected. The tester quickly spots bad
memory chips and alerts the user with a warning tone and visual signal. A
typical DDR2 SO-DIMM module test takes less than a minute.
The part number for the 200-pin DDR2 SO-DIMM
Adapter is INN-8668-14. The adapter is available now. For more information,
