Houston – November 5, 2018 – INNOVENTIONS, Inc., the leading manufacturer of portable computer memory testers, has announced the end of firmware updates for its prior-generation RAMCHECK tester. Repair and calibration services will still be available.

“The RAMCHECK has been a great product for almost 20 years,” said Dr. David Y. Feinstein, President of INNOVENTIONS. “As with any computer technology, there reaches a point where it's no longer practical to continue supporting product updates. All future updates will be done on our existing RAMCHECK LX model, particularly now that DDR4 is prevalent and the old RAMCHECK cannot support it.”

First released to the market in 2000, the RAMCHECK memory tester (p/n INN-8668) was sold to thousands of customers around the world. Data centers, computer retailers, schools and government agencies, memory suppliers and more all came to rely upon it. With the right adapters, RAMCHECK users could test everything from very old 30-pin SIMMs to 240-pin DDR3 DIMMs.
