SIMCHECK II /se/LT PLUS TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

General: The SIMCHECK II PLUS (p/n INN-8558PLUS) test system includes the SIMCHECK II base tester (p/n INN-8558) and the Sync DIMMCHECK 168 removable test head (p/n INN-8558-6). SIMCHECK II PLUS tests 168-pin SDRAM/EDO/FPM DIMM modules, and 72- and 30-pin SIMM EDO/FPM modules. All SIMCHECK II systems support other type of memory devices in accordance with the following Optional Test Adapters list.

Internal Construction (SIMCHECK II): Three Printed Circuit Boards connected with a 96-pin snap-on connector.

Internal Construction (Sync DIMMCHECK 168): Two Printed Circuit Board, one high-density carrying all components, one ground plane PCB for shielding.

Chip technology: Advanced CMOS and FCT devices.

Processors:
Main Processor: TX486DLC/E-40GA running at 40MHz Max.
Secondary processor (test engine inside Sync DIMMCHECK 168):   ALTERA CPLD running at 150MHz Max.

Internal SRAM (in SIMCHECK II ): 64KB (Expandable to 256KB).

Internal SDRAM (in Sync DIMMCHECK 168): 4MB.

Internal Program FLASH EPROM: 256KB (Expandable to 1MB). Internal program can be upgraded via the Internet.

PC Interface: Built-in serial interface (9-pin connection cable is included) running at 19,200 baud rate. SIMCHECK II PLUS is a stand-alone tester. PC Communications software is included to provide printed reports, data logging, and firmware upgrades via the Internet.

Display: Standard 128 x 32 pixel LCD (Reflective) with LED backlighting and 6 o'clock view direction (internal contrast control located on bottom PCB).

DUT (Device Under Test) interface:
16 multiplex DRAM/MODULE address lines for up to 4G addresses of direct processor access
Main Control lines: 4 -RAS/-S lines, 8 -CAS/DQM lines, 2 -W/WE lines, 2 -OE lines, 2 CKE and 4 Clock lines (for SDRAM only).
Complex wave generation and digital delay synthesis on all -RAS/-S, -CAS/DQM and -W lines.
Advanced setup of Trcd and Trah setup at 1-2 nS resolution.
Three Programmable Regulated Voltage Sources 1.25V-5.7V with automatic current limiters.
EDO/FPM DRAM Access Time: Direct measurement from 150nS down to 20nS at 1nS resolution, +/-3nS accuracy.
SDRAM Clock Access Time: Direct measurement from 133MHz to 66MHz with 0.5nS resolution, +/-1.5nS accuracy.

TEST ALGORITHM (Refer to Application Note INN-8558-APN16):
Checker Patterns.
Walking 0, 1.
Voltage Cycling and Voltage Bounce.
March Up/Down.
Self-Refresh (for SDRAM).
Auto-Loop with changing patterns.

AC LINE ADAPTER: Universal Power Supply, UL/CSA listed 100-250VAC/47-63Hz to 7.5VDC @ 3.5-4 AMP adapter.

A Carrying Case is included with SIMCHECK II PLUS model.

The unit comes with a 52-page short form Printed Manual. An expanded manual is available on-line in a pdf format.

SIMCHECK II LT PLUS
(This test system has the same specifications above, but with these differences):
The SIMCHECK II LT PLUS (p/n INN-8558LT-PLUS) test system includes the SIMCHECK II LT base tester (p/n INN-8558LT) and the Sync DIMMCHECK 168 removable test head (p/n INN-8558-6).
The SIMCHECK II LT base tester is identical to SIMCHECK II but has only one test socket for 72-pin SIMMs (an optional adapter is available for 30-pin SIMM modules).
The SIMCHECK II LT PLUS comes without carrying case (the carrying case is available at an extra cost).
SIMCHECK II se PLUS
(This test system has the same specifications above, but with these differences):
The SIMCHECK II se PLUS (p/n INN-8558se-PLUS) test system includes the SIMCHECK II se base tester (p/n INN-8558se) and the Sync DIMMCHECK 168 removable test head (p/n INN-8558-6).
The SIMCHECK II se main unit consists of support for 72-pin modules only (an optional adapter is available for 30-pin SIMM modules).
The SIMCHECK II se PLUS comes without a carrying case (the carrying case is available at an extra cost).
The SIMCHECK II se does not include all of the software features as SIMCHECK II. Please refer to the SIMCHECK II se features for a complete list of these differences.
