This document lists all the optional adapters for
the SIMCHECK II product line. More advanced versions of these adapters are
available on our newer RAMCHECK model.
SIMCHECK II Memory
Tester Optional Adapters
The Sync DIMMCHECK 168 (p/n INN-8558-6) is our most popular SIMCHECK II test
adapter and it is also part of the SIMCHECK II
PLUS combination. It tests SDRAM and standard EDO/FPM DRAM
168-pin DIMM modules at an affordable price. The Sync DIMMCHECK 168's
patent-pending 133MHz test engine, as well as the SIMCHECK II line's 1nS
technology, combine to achieve true 133MHz testing of your SDRAM
The Sync CHIP Tester (p/n INN-8558-9) is perfect for testing SDRAM individual
TSOP chips with 44, 50 and 54 pins. It uses a test engine similar to the one
employed by the Sync DIMMCHECK 168 to achieve true 133MHz testing of
your SDRAM chips.
Sync DIMMCHECK 144
The Sync DIMMCHECK 144 (p/n INN-8558-7) is the perfect solution
to memory check SDRAM and standard EDO/FPM DRAM 144-pin S.O.
DIMM modules at an affordable price. The Sync DIMMCHECK 144 uses a test engine
similar to our Sync DIMMCHECK 168 to achieve true 133MHz testing of
your SDRAM modules.
The Sync DIMMCHECK 100 (p/n INN-8558-8) is the state-of-the-art solution for
testing SDRAM and standard EDO/FPM DRAM 100-pin S.O. DIMM
modules at an affordable price. Such modules are typically used in Laser
Printers. The Sync DIMMCHECK 100 uses a test engine similar to our Sync
DIMMCHECK 168 to achieve true 133MHz testing of your SDRAM modules.
200-pin Sun DIMM Adapter
The SIMCHECK 200-pin DIMM Adapter (p/n INN-8558-10) is the state-of-the-art
memory tester for checking 200-pin, 144-bit FPM/EDO DIMMs for the Sun Station
and other Sun Microsystem modules.
The DIMMCHECK 168P PRO (p/n INN-8484-10) supports standard EDO/FPM DRAM 168-pin
DIMM modules which are either buffered or unbuffered and use either 3.3V or 5V.
NOTE: This is an old adapter which is not recommended for new customers as it
does not support SDRAM. Please use Sync DIMMCHECK
The DIMMCHECK 144P PRO (p/n INN-8558-2) tests standard EDO/FPM DRAM 144-pin
DIMM modules. Tested modules include x64 parity and x72 ECC modes for either
3.3V (default) or 5V. NOTE: This is an old adapter which is not recommended for
new customers as it does not support SDRAM. Please use Sync DIMMCHECK 144 instead.
DIMMCHECK 72P PRO
The DIMMCHECK 72P PRO (p/n INN-8558-3) tests all 72-pin Small Outline DIMM
modules with basic configurations of 18, 32, and 36 bits. The test can be
selected by the user at 5V or 3.3V. A lower cost version, the
DIMMCHECK 72P (p/n INN-8484-4) is also
DRAM CARD TESTER
The DRAM CARD TESTER (p/n INN-8484-3) tests all 88-pin DRAM CARDS.
SIMCHECK II 20-42 SOJ Adapter
The optional SIM 2 20-42 SOJ ADAPTER (INN-8558-5) is designed to be a universal
tool for testing most 20-pin to 42-pin SOJ chips. This adapter readily supports
SOJ chips with sizes of 256Kx4, 1Mx4, 1Mx1, 4Mx1, 4Mx4, 16Mx1, 1Mx16, 8Mx8,
16Mx4 and 2Mx8.
X16/X18 SOJ Adapter
The optional X16/X18 SOJ ADAPTER (p/n INN-8484-2) is an older adapter which is
recommended only for those needing to test the older style 256Kx16 400mil SOJ
chips. Most users needing to test 1Mx16 SOJ chips as well as other size chips
will want to acquire the SIM II 20-42 SOJ
SIMCHECK II SIP Adapter
The SIMCHECK II SIP ADAPTER (p/n INN-8558-1) enables SIMCHECK II to test the
old SIP modules. It is designed to accommodate the old SIMCHECK individual chip
adapters, which include the SINGLE CHIP
ADAPTERS, the PLCC/SOJ
ADAPTER, the 16M SOJ ADAPTER,
the 4M TSOP and 16M TSOP ADAPTERS, the
ZIP DRAM ADAPTER, and the
x8/x9 SOJ/ZIP ADAPTER.

The DIRECT PRINTER INTERFACE, p/n INN-8558-4, allows you to print directly from
SIMCHECK to a printer, without the need of a PC connection. Please note that
since SIMCHECK II does have a built in serial interface and it comes with a PC
program to print your test reports, you should buy the DIRECT PRINTER INTERFACE
only if a PC or a space for a PC is not readily available in your testing area.
